Shark Attack
|
People have hobbies that they partake in to take a little break
from work. They may include gardening, painting and even scuba
diving. One of our clients loved to scuba dive and take pictures
of sharks. He was a lawyer, and he did this somewhat unconventional
activity to relax from the stress that life sometimes brings.
Our client decided that he wanted to incorporate his hobby into
his everyday life. He called us and told us that he wanted a
fireplace with hand painted tiles that had a shark theme. He
sent us some pictures he had taken of sharks while scuba diving.
These incredible pictures of these beautiful and mesmerizing
creatures inspired us to design the tiles for his fireplace.
This project was very fun to work on because it was something
a little different. When we get requests for kitchen, bath or
fireplace projects from our clients, we are usually asked to
do conventional designs such as fruits, flowers or simple borders.
Even though this project was somewhat of a challenge because
it was unconventional, I have learned from experience that if
the project is more challenging, the rewards are greater when
it is finally completed.
This is an example of how someone who had a hobby and passion
for something incorporated it into a project. Just like our client
did this, anyone else with a hobby can do the same. Many people
are afraid to do something a little unconventional, but sometimes
we need to take risks to end up with something unexpectedly better.
